KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
Monthly Programs
Monthly programs provide ASTDGG members with outstanding professional development opportunities. Generally held on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at a venue easily accessible by public transportation or car, the events feature networking time, a light dinner and a speaker presentation by an expert in the field.
Workshops, Seminars and Webinars
Professional Development programs are held throughout the year in addition to our monthly events. These in-depth programs are tailored to new professionals and experienced practitioners alike. Members receive advance email notices with all the information and registration details.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Geographical Interest Groups (GIGs)
Golden Gate Chapter SIGs and GIGs represent one of the many ways to grow professionally and personally, to network, learn new trends and industry direction, and to take useful information back to your organization.
Our Interest Groups provide a great opportunity to become personally involved in our chapter while you focus on your area of special interest or network with others in your geographical area. SIG and GIG leaders continuously seek member assistance in topic and speaker selection, meeting planning, attendee registration and other support activities.
Networking Events
Held throughout the year, Networking events offer featured speakers, ice breakers, and a chance to get more acquainted with other members in a supportive and friendly setting.
Community Outreach Program
The Golden Gate Chapter Community Outreach Program (COP) serves non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The COP is a win-win proposition for both the non-profits receiving the services and for our members. Bay Area non-profits benefit from receiving quality training from knowledgeable learning and development professionals. Chapter members benefit by having the opportunity to develop skills and deliver training and expertise while at the same time giving back to the community.
Our members who volunteer for this program represent a range of interets and skills and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of learners.
