Chief Financial Officer
Do you like guiding and keeping a team of enthusiastic leaders honest by pointing them back to the numbers?! If so the CFO position in ASTD Golden Gate Chapter is for you. The CFO compiles the annual budget, assists budget owners in assembling and managing their budgets, and works with the Business Manager to track and analyze chapter finances. With full participation at the board meetings, you get to help ASTD grow with financial integrity.

Vice President, Programs

If you answered "yes", then consider the position of Vice President of Programs for the Golden Gate Chapter for the ASTD. The Program VP lines up the monthly programs for the Chapter. What a great way to meet all our wonderful speakers, and have a say in subject matter for our programs! Additionally, working on budgets and being a member of the Chapter leadership team provides an opportunity to build your skills as a Mid-Level or Senior-Level Training Professional. Why not hone your talents on the Board of Directors?

Vice President, Professional Development
Are you a motivated T&D professional who would like to plan and organize the Chapter's Professional Development events? Are you skilled at leading small teams of volunteers on short-term projects? Do you like to facilitate events and workshops? Then this opportunity may be for you. The VP of Professional Development position is a great way to contribute to the member focus of our Chapter, and participate at a Board of Directors level in the overall guidance of the Chapter's operations. We plan to have two people share this position's responsibilities, but you may prefer to do it yourself! If you have just 4 good ideas for Professional Development events that would benefit our members over the next 2 years, the rest of the Board and chapter volunteers are ready to help you. And being a member of the Chapter leadership team is a great opportunity to build your skills as a Mid-Level or Senior-Level Training Professional. Why not consider joining the Board of Directors?

Vice President, Membership

If you answered "yes" to any of these, then consider the position of Vice President of Membership for the Golden Gate Chapter for the ASTD. As VP of Membership, you will have the role and duty to be the voice of membership. Duties include oversight and development of the New Member Orientation to marketing campaigns to encourage membership. Additionally, working on budgets and being a member of the Chapter leadership team provide an opportunity to build your skills as a Mid-Level or Senior-Level Training Professional. Vice President, Marketing & Communications
VP Communications is a pivotal role in our Chapter. Would you like to be the information hub? Editor of the Reporter newsletter, content manager for the website, scheduler of email broadcasts to membership, you know everything that's happening! You will also have the opportunity to build a small team of contributors to help out with some of these responsibilities to keep information flowing in our Chapter. Have a seat on the Board of Directors and a say in how things are done, build your leadership skills, and stay involved. Why not you?

Vice President, Community Outreach
VP COP (aka Community Outreach Program) provides a platform for mutually beneficial relationships between Chapter training and development professionals and Bay Area non-profits. Responsibilities include developing relationships, selecting projects, and providing leadership to a team of volunteers that deliver the outreach programs. A highly engaged team is already in place to deliver on the projects we need your leadership expertise! Plus, you get a seat on the Board of Directors for project support and your input to other Chapter business. If you like project management and want an opportunity to seriously network in the Bay Area non-profit community, this position is for you.

Vice President, Special Interest Groups
The VP SIG oversees all activities of Chapter Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and coordinates activities with other Chapter events. Do you have a broad interest in the T&D field? Are you interested in bringing this perspective to our membership? The VP of Special Interest Groups works with volunteer SIG leaders to build active groups by offering guidance, contacts and marketing efforts to reach their audience. Two active SIGs are already in place. You will have the opportunity to help build more groups so we can continue to bring this valuable benefit to our membership. You will have a seat on the Board of Directors, guide the SIGs and help guide our chapter. This position is highly recommended to build your leadership skills and to expand your professional network.

Secretary
Have limited time, but would still like to be involved in a leadership role in your ASTD Chapter? Why not consider the Secretary role? Come to monthly Board meetings, take the minutes, tally votes, and contribute to only those projects you have time for. Gain experience as a voting Board member and participate in the guidance of your Chapter.
