Marsha has 20 years of experience in high-tech and corporate education initiatives. Most recently, she is the Curriculum and Delivery Manager for the customer education business at CA|Wily, responsible for curriculum development globally, and training delivery initiatives in North America. Previously, Marsha was the General Manager and Director of Rational University for Rational Software, where she established the business framework for customer education at Rational, and pioneea83c0f eLearning and web-based certification assessments.
Marsha joined the ASTD Golden Gate Chapter in January, 2002, and has served on the Board as President since then. Marsha has initiated many changes at the Golden Gate Chapter, including chapter CORE compliance, contact intelligence technology implementation, and bringing the chapter into a positive fiscal picture in 2007. CFO, 2010: CEIL TILNEY
Ceil is the Regional Sales Manager for Northern California and the North West at Achieve Global, a leading performance management provider.
Ceil specializes in performance management and technology, building learning strategies, and stakeholder management. She has worked with clients in a diverse range of industries, including professional services, high technology, healthcare, financial services, and consumer goods. She was the Director of Education Services at Health Net's MHN division, and at BenefitPoint, a benefits insurance dot.com, a role she also held in Oracle's Field Sales organization. She spent five years at Microsoft, working with clients to design, develop and implement large-scale training programs. She has advised clients on employee, technical, and sales training, leadership and management development, corporate university strategies, and e-learning plans. Ceil earned an MBA, an MA in Organization Development, and an MA in English. She has received the SPHR designation and is certified to administer the MBTI. Secretary, 2010: DIANE VORNOLI
Diane joined the ASTD Board as secretary in 2009 and brings over 29 years experience in consumer goods and most recently healthcare. She has been in training and development for over 12 years, specializing in helping organizations achieve goals by improving on-the-job performance for Fortune 100, 500, privately owned, and non-profit companies. She is a certified professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) with expertise in project management, instructional design, facilitation and training delivery, coaching, and achieving cost savings through effective learning and performance interventions.
She is currently working in health care for hospice, and is enjoying making a difference in the lives of people who care for those at the end of life’s journey.

Vice President, Membership, 2010: RAJ NEOGY
Raj Neogy, MA is a consultant, facilitator, and social entrepreneur who offers training and consulting in topics such as organizational development, business process and breakthrough strategy. She has worked with over 500 corporations and organizations worldwide over the last 20 years, including Fortune 100 companies like Sony, Adobe, JVC, and amazon.com. Co-Vice President, Communications, 2010: KAREN GORDON-BROWN Karen Gordon-Brown joins the Board of Directors this year as the VP of Marketing and Communications. She is a human resource development professional with over 20 years in both private and public sectors as a trainer, instructional designer, facilitator, coach and communicator. Karen supports her client groups with diplomatic and colllaborative group facilitation. She also provides human resource development strategies through the project management of data gathering and analysis, design and development, as well as the implementation of effective performance-based training, business process improvement, and organizational performance improvement solutions. A journalist and scriptwriter by trade, Karen is a Certified Instructional Technologist, a Certified Course Manager and holds an MBA with a focus on Strategic Human Resource Management.

Co-Vice President, Communications, 2010: PI WEN LOOI Pi Wen Looi is the Founder and Principal of Novacrea Research Consulting, a research and consulting firm that specializes in employee engagement research and meeting facilitation. Pi Wen is an expert in employee engagement, employer branding, and best employer research and is a licensed facilitator for The Coaching Clinic®. She brings more than 15 years experience in human capital management consulting and a burst of creative energy to help clients reap the benefits of having engaged employees. Her clients have included start-ups, Fortune 500 companies, and nonprofit organizations.
In addition, Pi Wen is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She brings a unique cultural perspective to consulting with clients as she has worked with organizations and associates globally and grew up in Malaysia and Singapore. Her experience working with associates in Asia, Europe, India, Latin America, and North America has further honed her facilitation skills and deepened her understanding of the nuances of communication styles across cultures. Pi Wen received her Ph.D. and master’s degrees in applied quantitative psychology from Ohio University and her B.S. in mathematics from the National University of Singapore.

Co-Vice President, Programs, 2010: LAURA PUTNAM
Laura Putnam is the Founder and CEO of Motion Infusion, Inc., a wellness and learning consulting firm. Drawing on her background in education, public policy, competitive athletics, professional dance and wellness, Laura utilizes a movement-based approach to facilitate learning, promote well-being and bring a complete mind/body approach to the workplace. In addition to providing services for companies and organizations, she leads international teacher-training workshops, primarily in Africa. Before founding Motion Infusion, Inc., Laura taught in urban public high schools, spearheaded community development work in West Africa, served as executive director of a youth-leadership organization and was a staff member of the Senate Antitrust Subcommittee in Washington D.C. Laura also was a nationally competitive collegiate gymnast, a professional dancer and is a certified Pilates and fitness instructor.
Laura holds a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University in International Relations and a Masters in Education from Brown University.

Vice President, Special Interest Groups, 2010: JOHN DARLING
John was the Vice President of Communications for our chapter in 2005. He is renewing his commitment to serve the Golden Gate Chapter in 2006 in the capacity of Vice President of Special Interest Groups.
As a principal and co-founder of Q2Learning, a company that specializes in blended learning and communities of practice, John brings with him many years of experience in the art and practice of social networking and online collaboration. Special interest groups have always been one of the cornerstones of our chapter's activities. Vice President, Professional Development, 2010: TERRY BARTON
Terry has been a chapter member since 2003 and looks forward to her new role as VP, Professional Development! Terry has served as Membership VP for the past three years and having an active role in growing the chapter has truly been a rewarding experience.
Terry brings over 20 years of Management and Organizational Development experience to the chapter. She has held management positions in the retail, container shipping and bio-tech industries and is the founding member and principal consultant of TBG Consulting, a Bay Area management consulting firm specializing in Group Facilitation and Performance Management. Terry holds a Master of Science degree in Management and Organizational Development, which she earned from the University of San Francisco and is an Adjunct Faculty member at Chabot College.
Terry is an active member of several community groups including the Oakland Chamber of Commerce where she is a graduate of the 2007 Leadership Oakland program.
